I contacted Echo Vie because I was very interested in their body oil. And I received their lip balm sample in my Wantable subscription box a few months back and really wanted to see what else they had to offer. When they told me they're going send me the products I was very excited to try them out.

•  I do not have dry skin after I use them if I am too lazy to moisturize my skin. 
• They smell fruity, not in an artificial way, and have a scrubby side and a soft side. 
• They can burn slightly sometimes, but goes away quick. 
• They do leave an odd sticky feeling on your face, but I believe it's because it helps keep in moisture. It goes away shortly after you moisturize.
• Also, they do a good job with taking off makeup and dirt.

• It does not have a smell( sorta a oatmeal smell), so it won't irritate your skin.
• Once you add water or their honey drops( I have some of it), you mix it and smooth it on your face for a few mins. It makes your skin soft and glowy.
• It is also a scrub because it has little bits of oatmeal in it.
• Lastly, the price is great and like I mentioned, it lasts for a long time.

I have heard great things about this soap and surprised how cheap it is in a natural section of a store. I decided to grab it last February on a whim.

• It smells nice and has a smooth feel to it on the face.
• It gives you a black face or body when using it since it has charcoal in it, which helps with acne.
• All natural and great for the skin.
• It can give a burning feel, but goes away quickly.
• It leaves your face a little tight so make sure you moisturize.
• I feel it has helped my skin and I like using it the shower on my body when I break out on my shoulders and back.

Early in the year I first purchased from Crushed Botanicals and I also did a review on those products. I will say now that I have not been disappointed and will continue to purchase from them! With that being said I want to talk about their liquid foundation I have reviewed once before.

This will be a list of at-home companies that I believe are the best and give great service and quality products. If you are not sure how the whole indi companies work I can summarize for you:

Indi companies are founded by women or men who do what they love to do, but decided to sell it as well. Many use to make these products for themselves or family and friends and was told to sell because they were so good. Some wanted to start their own businesses purely to make some extra cash as well as create products for themselves. Their stories are all different, but what makes them the same is that they are not the big top companies and will give you great service, unless they are shady, but this list I have compiled are indi brands that can be trusted and have great products!

Beauty Without Cruelty gave me a great first impression on their website which is a good thing for a customer. I believe not only in good quality products, but also in the presentation.  One thing I learned from college is that if you want to have someone respect your work, you need to show them you respect it by the presentation, being eye appealing, neat, and clean. They have a good website and easy access to the products.

I know many people including me care to a point what is in their products or even food. I am not obsessed over it but I do have my concerns when it comes to ingredients. I was brought to my attention my EO Products(I did a review and also doing a giveaway on their products) that is it Non-GMO month and they gave me some information to share with  you all and also a giveaway! What is a GMO?

A GMO, or “genetically modified organisms” is an organism (usually a plant) that has been created through gene-splicing techniques whereby DNA from one species is injected into another. We consumers get a hefty serving not only in soy milk and corn on the cobb, but when eating meat from GMO-fed farm animals & products using common additives like corn syrup and sugar beets.

Why are GMO’s made?

Farmers long struggled with herbicides and pesticides not only killing the bugs that ate food crops, but the foods crops themselves. In 1976, a major biotechnology company developed a bacterial gene that was immune to its herbicide Round Up. When this gene was inserted into soy, corn, canola and other plants, they could now be sprayed with Round Up and survive.  As a result, some 258 million pounds more herbicide have been used in the last 11 years.

Are GMOs safe?

This is the million dollar question. Many health-conscious consumers argue that this determination should be made before the products are publicly available, not after it’s too late. Due to lack of safety evidence, Australia, Japan, the European Union, and dozens of other countries have strong restrictions or outright bans on the production of GMOs. The U.S., on the other hand, approved commercial production of GMOs based on studies conducted by the companies who created them and profit from their sale.

Do Americans want non-GMO foods and products?
A 2008 CBS News Poll found that 87% of consumers wanted GMOs labeled.  And,  a recent CBS/New York Times poll showed 53% of consumers said they would not buy food that has been genetically modified.

How common are GMOs?
According to the USDA, in 2009, 93% of soy, 93% of cotton, and 86% of corn grown in the U.S. were GMO. It is estimated that over 90% of canola grown is GMO, and there are also commercially produced GM varieties of sugar beets, squash and Hawaiian Papaya. As a result, it is estimated that GMOs are now present in more than 80% of packaged products in the average U.S. or Canadian grocery store.

Where does the Non-GMO Project come in?
The Non-GMO Project is an initiative of the North American organic and natural product industry to create a standardized definition of non-GMO and a 3rd party verification program to assess product compliance with this Standard. The Project’s Product Verification Program is entirely voluntary, and participants are companies who see the value of offering their customers a verified non-GMO choice. Many of the individuals and businesses leading the way with the Project are the same ones responsible for creating the original organic standards. In California, there is also a ballet initiative underway to require GMO labeling.

The best option to avoid GE foods is to buy USDA certified organic as the organic standards prohibit the use of GE ingredients and products verified through the Non-GMO Project.
