If you like beauty subscriptions such as Birchbox, Glossy Box, Little Black bag, or many others then you will LOVE Ipsy. You receive many great products and brands, even companies many people haven't tried or heard of. They have a variety of high end or drugstore products so if you fall in love with something, you don't have to buy an expensive product. I believe Ispy has grown so much as a company and they truly strive for excellent customer service.

The history behind Ipsy:

• It is only $10.00 a month for deluxe or full size products! Most products are full size and well worth over $10.00!

• You take a quiz on their site to determine the types of products they will send you. Everyone gets similar bags and you'll get the some of the same things like for an example everyone may get a polish but may have different colors, and also may get a different product from a brand, like on person gets a hairspray from that brand and another gets a gel. The quiz so far has been good to me and what I like.

• Their Ipsy website is great for community and being involved! Birchbox was great because you get points and they add up and you can use them for products! I got a beauty blender set because of them. However, Ipsy has their own way. 

• If you get two people to subscribe using your unqine url for that month, you will recieve one bonus product. From what I can see, it is a full size product! If you have more than two sub, you still only get one product. And you can do this every month and get a new bonus product and they are different each month.

• Every bag(month) you have several ways to win products from that bag. On their website you can upload looks on each category. There are three winners so you have a chance. 

• Each month the products come in a cute bag, like the one above, that you can either use yourself or give it as a gift! 

• You can have fun blogging or vlogging about them if you haven't been apart of a subscription before. I love doing looks and sharing the products I got that month.

•  I do not have dry skin after I use them if I am too lazy to moisturize my skin. 
• They smell fruity, not in an artificial way, and have a scrubby side and a soft side. 
• They can burn slightly sometimes, but goes away quick. 
• They do leave an odd sticky feeling on your face, but I believe it's because it helps keep in moisture. It goes away shortly after you moisturize.
• Also, they do a good job with taking off makeup and dirt.

• It does not have a smell( sorta a oatmeal smell), so it won't irritate your skin.
• Once you add water or their honey drops( I have some of it), you mix it and smooth it on your face for a few mins. It makes your skin soft and glowy.
• It is also a scrub because it has little bits of oatmeal in it.
• Lastly, the price is great and like I mentioned, it lasts for a long time.

I have heard great things about this soap and surprised how cheap it is in a natural section of a store. I decided to grab it last February on a whim.

• It smells nice and has a smooth feel to it on the face.
• It gives you a black face or body when using it since it has charcoal in it, which helps with acne.
• All natural and great for the skin.
• It can give a burning feel, but goes away quickly.
• It leaves your face a little tight so make sure you moisturize.
• I feel it has helped my skin and I like using it the shower on my body when I break out on my shoulders and back.

My lips look odd

I was so excited when I received an email from Influenster that I qualify for the Mary Kay box. I have used Mary Kay before in high school, but never really felt like looking for a consultant. When I got the box in the mail, I was shocked by the value I got from Influenster/Mary Kay; $80.00!


This mascara is very nice. It doesn't take out too much product so it doesn't clump at all. It really does lengthen your lashes.

• Pros:  Lengthen wells, great color, the wand is really easy to use and I don't get mascara on the top of my eye lid, and looks natural.
• Cons: It doesn't thicken as much as I like, but it isn't advertised that way and the packaging is a little bulking for my taste.

• Pros: It helps soften my lashes and separate them to get them ready for mascara.
• Cons: I can't tell how much product is coming out or if I put enough on because of how clear the product is.

First and formost I do not get all that excited about a simple razor. I mean, it just shaves off your hair. However, Gillette Venus and Olay Razor has changed my mind. This is a razor worth raving about and   to repurchase over and over again.

• Let me just say first that the packaging is not really that great when you open it to get the razor out. It can be pretty sharp and almost dangerous....Meh.
• I love how comfortable it is to use and the grip is nice.
• The Sugarberry smell is delightful and it doesn't last on your skin, but I do not care.
• You only need one swipe and you're hairless! Five blades baby!
• The Olay strips are PERFECT! It lathers so heavenly and not too much. Let me just say that every time I get out of the shower and dry off, my legs are flaky and dry. This razor made my skin silky smooth and moisturized! This is the ONLY razor that has moisturized my skin and the picture above is three days later and I am still soft and not flaky, but a little prickly. 
• Retails at about $8.99 for package and $15.99 for replacement heads.
• I got this from Gillette Venus through a program for reviewing purposes. 
• These are my honest opinion about the product!

This is what I wore going out to a local historical theatre that was showing silent films. My father-in-law is movie archivist who was speaking at this event and I got in for free, perks of being the daughter-in-law!

I wanted to look nice, but not over do it. That is where the Naked Palette from Urban Decay comes in because it is perfect for a nice neutral look that can either be bold or sweet.

I finally cut my hair short! I was not sure if I really wanted to or not, but then last weekend I decided I wanted to try it out when my mother-in-law offered to take me. I do like it and it takes some time to get use to because this is the shortest I have ever made it since I was very young. After I cut it, I went to Sally's and bought some ION color and colored my hair. It looks a little different than before. I got a lighter color this time around.





I also purchased an ion mousse and this really cool hair cream that smells so devine. It smells like summer and feels amazing in my hair.

• Curl Creme- this had a lot of great ingredients in it that makes your hair silky and shiny. It has many oils in it and I have only used it once and really like it. It doesn't make my hair oily and it feels so nice to the touch. I will do a review soon.
• Fizzing Foam- this was recommended to me by a Sally's employee. I asked her what would be best for a mousse and she pointed this out. I took her word for it and I think I like it. I have to be careful how much I use or it can look crunchy. So far is seems to create nice curls and keep them in place without looking hard and crunchy. It gives my hair a nice look. I will do a more in depth review soon.

I have a Cinco De Mayo look and wanted to share how proud I am with getting my eye liner to look the same on both sides! I had a very steady hand this time. Whoa! I have not used eye liner in months to, so hurry for me!

• I used Charlotte Ronson Liquid Eye in Sky on the lid and Mystery Meat from Madd Style Cosmetics on crease(best brown in my opinion!) Go check out MSC because I LOVE Mo's makeup. 
• I used Urban Decay's Primer potion as the eye primer which sets the eye makeup and keeps in on all day. 
• I have on Revlon Color Stay Whipped Creme Foundation in 200 Sand Beige.
• Nyx Palette for my brows.
• Currently on my lips is Madd Style Cosmetics Lip Balm in Spiced Pumpkin Cake(I think...)

I know there are so many times I just have zero motivation to do anything beauty relate, espically blogging. One, I have no camera so it's hard to take great pictures, and two I just moved. I cannot wait until I get back into the groove of blogging because I miss it!

Influenster has done it again! This is most likely one of my favorite boxes! It has so much variety as usual but it is preparing me for the winter/holidays and it has gotten me so excited! I love the candle I got and there are some products that I haven't ever used before.

I have talked so many times about Influenster and what it is about. I want to do a actual review on the site and what is amazing about it.

Hey beauties!

I have been wanting to change up my hair for months now and I did cut it a little shorter a few months back, but today I decided to be bold and get it done how I wanted for awhile now. I am a little scared, because one, I have curly hair and I am picky how it is cut, and two I was scared for a change. Although I really wanted one!

With all that said, I love it! This is me after the cut and I haven't styled it the way I want yet, but it's cute. :)

I got it a little shorter in the back.

I was sent some beautiful loose shadows from MSB and they were nice enough to send me five decent sized sample jars! I could have picked whatever colors, but I asked to send me something that could be used for a night out and this is what I got:

*Important: Because I do not have a proper camera YET, I used my webcam to snatch a pic of me holding them and also do not have good pictures of me using the shadows. However, the review is my honest opinion and I will be using their shop photos of each shadow. 

• This shadow is just incredible. To me it is a silvery grey. I use it as a smokey lid color as well as a liner, but it does a great job as a light smoky high light because this color can be buildable I love buildable shadows.
• It has great pigmentation and a little goes a long way. It is a great quality pigment. 
• Lastly, the packaging is simple and easy. You can see the color on the top and the info is on the bottom, which I prefer!

• This black is a great black and has great pigmentation. However, like many blacks it can be hard to blend out because with such pigmentation, it sticks to the first spot you place it. But, with patience and determination, you can blend it to a nice, sexy smokey eye. 
• I love to use this as a liner with a medium such as Awesome Sauce from MSC, and it creates your own liner. 
• As stated above, the packaging is great.
